First Step
Salvation
At the GO GO & Tell Church, everything begins with salvation—a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that transforms your heart, mind, and spirit from the inside out. Salvation is not merely a one-time decision or religious ritual; it is a divine invitation into a personal and ongoing relationship with the Creator of the universe. It is the moment when you turn from sin and embrace God’s love, grace, and forgiveness. As Acts 16:31 says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
Through salvation, you are made new, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” You are adopted into God’s family (Romans 8:15), becoming a beloved child of the Most High, and are set on a path of divine purpose that extends beyond this life into eternity (Ephesians 2:10). Salvation restores fellowship with God, giving us peace with Him through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1) and assuring us of the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:7).
Salvation is the foundation of everything we do as a church. Once you experience the saving power of Jesus, nothing will ever be the same again. It is the starting point for true freedom and abundant life (John 10:10), and it fuels our growth in faith, character, and service. From this foundation, we grow together in community, supporting one another as the body of Christ (Hebrews 10:24–25), and join in God’s mission to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20).
At GO GO & Tell, we celebrate the transformative power of salvation, inviting everyone to step into the fullness of life that God offers through Jesus Christ. Salvation is not only the beginning—it is the doorway to a lifelong journey of faith, love, and obedience to God.
Second Step
Baptism
As a community of believers, we hold baptism in high regard as both a sacred command from Jesus Christ and a joyful celebration of God’s transformative power. Jesus Himself said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). At GO GO & Tell Church, baptism is far more than a ritual or outward symbol—it is a powerful declaration of faith, a public testimony of God’s work in our lives, and an invitation to fully embrace His purpose for us.
Through baptism, believers publicly affirm their commitment to Jesus Christ, declaring that they belong to Him. It symbolizes the burial of the old life in sin and the resurrection to a new life in Christ (Romans 6:4). As Paul writes, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:4). Rising from the water, we testify to the transformative power of Christ’s resurrection, empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in obedience, freedom, and hope (Galatians 2:20).
Baptism is a significant milestone in the life of a believer. It serves as a bold witness to the world of God’s grace and faithfulness (Acts 2:41) and as a joyful celebration within the church family, uniting us as members of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). It reminds us of the victory Christ has won over sin and death, and the ongoing work of the Spirit in our daily lives as we grow in faith and obedience (Colossians 2:12).
In essence, baptism is both a command and a celebration—a sacred act that points to the past, acknowledging God’s forgiveness; to the present, as we walk in newness of life; and to the future, as we live in the hope of eternal life with Christ. At GO GO & Tell Church, we invite every believer to embrace this step of faith as a public proclamation of God’s transforming power.
Next Step
Becoming a Member
At GO GO & Tell, we envision a vibrant community of believers moving together as one body in Christ, where every person is valued, equipped, and clothed in the God-given identity and purpose He has designed for them. As Paul reminds us, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 12:27). The church is not just a place we attend—it is a family we belong to, a spiritual home where faith is nurtured, gifts are discovered, and lives are transformed through God’s Word and the work of the Holy Spirit.
Becoming a member of the local church is more than a formality; it is a commitment to join hands and hearts with fellow believers in worship, discipleship, service, and mission. Membership means you are connected not only to Christ, but also deeply to His people, sharing in both the privileges and responsibilities of the body (Ephesians 4:11-16). It is an intentional step that says, “This is my church family, and together we will grow, serve, and impact the world for the Kingdom of God.” As Hebrews 10:24–25 encourages, we are called to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.”
At GO GO & Tell, church membership is an opportunity to experience the joy of belonging, the strength of unity, and the call to advance God’s mission as part of a Spirit-led community. Together, we celebrate God’s work in our lives, support one another in love, and serve the world as ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). By committing to a local body of believers, you are stepping into a covenant of faithfulness, accountability, and shared purpose—growing as disciples, making disciples, and glorifying God in all we do.
Take This Step
Speaking in the Spirit
The gift of speaking in tongues is a remarkable and powerful spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit to believers, as a sign of God’s presence and empowerment in the life of the church. In the book of Acts, we see this gift first displayed on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit filled the disciples and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them (Acts 2:4). This miraculous gift allowed them to proclaim the wonders of God to people from every nation, demonstrating the universality of the gospel.
Speaking in tongues is not only a personal prayer language but also a tool for edification and spiritual growth. As Paul explains, “Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church” (1 Corinthians 14:4). When interpreted, tongues can also bring encouragement, teaching, and revelation to the wider church body.
This gift serves as a powerful reminder that the Holy Spirit works in and through believers in supernatural ways, equipping them for prayer, worship, ministry, and bold proclamation of the gospel. It is a sign of the Spirit’s presence and a manifestation of God’s power in the life of the believer (Mark 16:17).
Receiving and practicing the gift of tongues is not about drawing attention to oneself, but about deepening intimacy with God and participating in the life and mission of the Spirit-led church. As Paul writes, believers are encouraged to “be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues” (1 Corinthians 14:39), approaching this gift with humility, faith, and a desire to glorify God.
Your life shall blossom!
